Manufacturing Operations Leader
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the execution of manufacturing operations, managing production and maintenance systems, developing team capabilities, and driving continuous improvement initiatives in a 24/7 production environment.
Key Responsibilities:
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations.
* Foster a proactive safety culture across all shifts.
* Manage daily production to meet throughput, quality, and delivery targets.
* Control inventory to optimise resource use.
* Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance programs.
* Plan and deliver minor engineering projects.
* Maintain product quality and lead responses to quality issues.
* Implement continuous improvement initiatives using lean tools.
* Lead, coach, and develop a high performing, engaged team.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of improving processes, reducing waste, and increasing OEE.
Requirements:
* 5+ years in production or engineering/reliability leadership within high-volume manufacturing (FMCG or Packaging preferred).
* Engineering degree or trade qualification
* Certificate IV in WHS or equivalent understanding of safety systems.
* Strong expertise in Lean Manufacturing, Continuous Improvement, and Six Sigma.
* Proven track record of improving processes, reducing waste, and increasing OEE.
* Skilled in root cause analysis and structured problem-solving.
* Experience managing both production and maintenance operations.
* Background in delivering minor engineering or equipment upgrade projects.
* Solid understanding of HSE compliance and frontline risk management.
* Demonstrated ability in team development and performance management across shifts.
