The City of Joondalup’s Economic Development activities play a key role in transitioning Joondalup from an economy supported by population growth to one driven by business investment, innovation and entrepreneurship.
The City is seeking an Economic Development Officer to provide high-level specialist advice and implement the City’s economic development strategies and plans within the areas of digital technology, innovation and business support and capacity building.
To support economic sustainability and diversification the City has a strong focus on growing the digital economy in Joondalup through industry development and business capacity building. The Economic Development Officer will lead such initiatives and play a key role in the facilitation of industry clusters and business capacity building.

6. Tertiary qualification in related discipline such as Economics, Business Administration, Urban Planning, Marketing or equivalent relevant experience.
7. Experience in the development, administration and management of complex projects and events.
8. Experience in managing competing stakeholder expectations and building effective relationships.
