Philosophy Lecturer Opportunity
We are seeking a qualified individual to join our team as a lecturer in philosophy. The appointee will be responsible for teaching and developing curriculum in the mind, meaning and metaphysics stream.
The successful candidate will have a strong research track record, with a focus on empirically-oriented approaches to philosophical issues. They will also be expected to contribute to the delivery of first year philosophy units and third-year metaphysics courses.
1. a PhD in Philosophy by the time of appointment
2. an established research track record of high quality peer reviewed publications
3. potential to apply for research grants from national and international research bodies
4. demonstrated success in undergraduate teaching
5. the potential to undertake Postgraduate supervision in Philosophy
6. capacity to work in a pluralist department and collaborate with other teachers and researchers
