Job Title
Our organisation is seeking a senior Work Health and Safety professional to provide strategic leadership and operational oversight of WHS across our services.
This includes setting the WHS strategy, driving a values-based safety culture, ensuring compliance with legislative obligations, and leading a multidisciplinary WHS team to deliver expert advisory, audit, and injury management services.
About the Role
* To develop and implement a three-year WHS strategy aligned to organisational goals and values.
* To champion the development of a proactive and collaborative safety culture across all agencies and parishes.
* To oversee the WHS Management System, compliance frameworks, and audit programs.
* To lead risk management, psychosocial safety strategies, incident investigations, and corrective actions.
* To manage Workers' Compensation claims, return-to-work programs, and regulatory reporting.
* To build WHS capability across senior leaders through training, advice, and governance support.
* To lead, coach, and develop the WHS Manager, Advisors, and Injury Management team.
About You
You are a proven senior WHS leader with the ability to operate strategically and influence safety in large, complex organisations.
You will bring:
* Tertiary qualifications in WHS, occupational health, or related discipline (postgraduate desirable).
* Expert knowledge of WHS legislation, systems, and governance.
* Experience in WHS auditing, risk management, psychosocial risk, and injury management.
* Demonstrated success in leading teams and building organisational WHS capability.
* Strong stakeholder engagement, influencing, and communication skills.
