Claims Resolution Specialist
This role entails managing a portfolio of claims from inception, conducting liability assessments, gathering and analyzing medical and rehabilitation data, evaluating claim value, and negotiating settlements.
* Manage and negotiate claims, including communication with solicitors or direct claimants by phone, correspondence, and/or attending settlement conferences and hearings
* Obtain and review medical, financial, investigative, and rehabilitation reports to assist in accurate assessment of individual claims
* Evaluate legislative compliance timeframes while reviewing medical, financial, investigative, and rehabilitation reports
* Develop strategies to resolve claims cost-effectively
* Ensure early access to appropriate rehabilitation for injured claimants to achieve optimal recovery from injuries
* Negotiate claims settlements with solicitors in line with legislative, regulatory, and procedural guidelines
* Provide exceptional customer service to stakeholders through compliance with legislation, timely response times, and efficiency in processing
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Proven knowledge and experience in handling CTP or personal injury claims or Law is preferred
* Tertiary qualifications, including Legal, Allied Health, or Insurance would be advantageous
* Excellent analytical and technical skills
* High attention to detail
* Pro-active and energetic team player
* Highest professional approach to all aspects of claims handling
* Excellent verbal communication skills and ability to listen, build rapport, communicate complex information, and negotiate with various internal and external stakeholders
* Strong administrative and written skills and ability to effectively manage all aspects of each claim while adhering to NSW legislation
* Strong commitment and high degree of integrity to meet and exceed customer expectations
* Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to workplace improvement and changes
