Our Sydney-based Finance & Accounting Shared Services Centre (SSC) provides services and operational support to multiple Australian network agencies.
Purpose
The Payroll Officer is responsible for delivering accurate, timely and compliant payroll services across the organisation, ensuring all payroll operations meet legislative requirements and deadlines.
Key Responsibilities
Payroll Processing
* Manage end-to-end payroll cycles (main and off-cycle) for approx. 550 employees.
* Maintain payroll data in ADP (including SSL uploads and Global Termination Forms).
* Process terminations, redundancies, leave adjustments and WorkCover payments.
* Support superannuation, salary sacrifice arrangements and Government Paid Parental Leave.
* Assist with STP reconciliation and End-of-Month/End-of-Year processing.
* Facilitate Long Service Leave transfers in line with regulations.
Compliance & Reporting
* Ensure compliance with Payroll, Tax and Superannuation legislation.
* Assist with payroll tax calculations and lodgements.
* Support preparation and payment of freelancer/talent super, payroll tax and PAYG.
Systems & Stakeholder Support
* Liaise with ADP and agencies on payroll matters and participate in system testing.
* Support payroll data updates in Workday.
* Respond to payroll queries and resolve discrepancies.
* Work closely with HR on employee matters.
* Provide backup support within the payroll team as required.
Skills & Experience
* Minimum 2+ years' end-to-end payroll experience.
* Experience with ADP GlobalView (or similar), SAP and Workday.
* Strong understanding of Australian payroll legislation.
* High attention to detail and ability to meet tight deadlines.
* Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple stakeholders.
* Proven ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism.
