We are seeking a skilled Technical Solutions Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the team, you will be responsible for managing multiple technical initiatives and projects simultaneously.
You will work closely with junior colleagues, allocate resources to projects, and mentor new hires. Your excellent communication skills and ability to gather and understand requirements in the financial sector will be essential in this role.
The team you will be joining is part of a global, cross-divisional group supporting State Street AlphaSM, which redefines the common definition of 'alpha' to mean powering better performance and outcomes at every point on the investment lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage multiple technical initiatives and projects simultaneously
* Work closely with junior colleagues, allocate resources to projects, and mentor new hires
* Develop and implement solutions that meet customer needs
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to achieve project goals
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* BS/MS in Computer Science or equivalent field with minimum 5 yrs exp.
* Experience in methodology-based solution delivery and managing customers' expectations
* Strong client interaction skills
* Problem solving skills and ability to recognize long term solutions across multiple projects
* Detail-oriented and able to multi-task
* Self-starter, able to work both independently and as part of a team
Desirable Skills:
* XML and XSLT
* Tomcat configuration and optimization
* N-tier application architecture
* SOAP/XML and messaging software like MQ Series, MSMQ, Sonic MQ and Open JMS
* In-depth knowledge of one of the following RDBMS: Oracle, MS SQL Server or Sybase
* Java and C# programming
* Windows and Unix (Solaris and Linux)knowledge
* ETL Tools such as Infomatica
* Familiar with at least one SCM (Subversion or Perforce would be a plus)
Additional Requirements:
* Financial services industry experience
* Previous consulting background
* Ability to read/write XSD and DTDs
* Extract Transform and Load tools such as Infomatica
* Knowledge of Design Patterns
* Exposure to task Scheduling software's
