About the role
The CCL NUM will be a key part of our senior management team, providing leadership and management for the Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory.
Responsibilities include overseeing clinical care standards, operational performance, fostering a respectful and professional environment, and promoting effective interdisciplinary collaboration to improve patient outcomes and staff development.
The primary focus is to lead the nursing and multi-professional team in the Cardiac Cath Lab, overseeing daily operations, supervising staff, managing staffing and skill mix, coordinating with specialists, and scheduling procedures.
The role involves close collaboration with the Perioperative Service Manager, Critical Care Nurse Unit Manager, and the executive team to develop organizational strategies, enhance service delivery, and meet departmental and hospital goals.
The CCL NUM will serve as an expert in acute cardiology, guiding the multidisciplinary team and external agencies in delivering optimal patient care.
What you bring
Mandatory:
Registered Nurse with current registration from the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (AHPRA).
At least 5 years of relevant clinical experience in a Cardiac Catheterisation Laboratory.
Proven leadership skills within a healthcare setting.
Advanced knowledge of current clinical practices, care models, and the ability to motivate and lead staff toward service and professional goals.
Excellent communication skills for liaising effectively at all levels and working within a diverse team.
Strong interpersonal skills, including negotiation and conflict resolution.
Ability to manage human, financial, and material resources efficiently, based on principles of equity, injury prevention, and infection control.
Highly Desirable:
Recognized tertiary management qualifications or progress towards such qualifications, with evidence of recent professional development in leadership and management.
Post-graduate Certificate.
