General Manager Supply Chain
Sarah & Sebastian, a luxury jewellery brand rooted in craftsmanship, creativity and a profound commitment to ocean conservation, is seeking a General Manager Supply Chain.
Reporting directly to the Merchandise Director, the GM Supply Chain will provide hands‐on leadership and strategic oversight for the Supply Chain, Procurement, Quality Control and Warehouse departments.
This critical, strategic role is tasked with leading the end‐to‐end product lifecycle and driving operational excellence and scalability to support the company's growth.
WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Strategy & Operational Efficiency: Develop and execute strategic plans to optimise the jewellery supply chain, fulfilment, and warehouse operations, including leading major cross‐functional efficiency projects.
* Sourcing & Procurement: Oversee end‐to‐end sourcing and procurement for raw materials and finished goods, negotiating supplier terms, and leading compliance with regulatory requirements specifically Responsible Jewellery Council.
* Logistics, Warehousing & Quality Assurance: Manage inbound logistics, transportation and distribution, while overseeing warehouse operations and ensuring the QC team maintains rigorous standards across all materials and finished goods, including offshore QC.
* Inventory Integrity: Lead company‐wide inventory management processes, including stocktake planning and execution, and implementing systems to reduce systemic errors and minimise impact to Cost of Goods Sold (COGS).
* Leadership & People Development: Provide hands‐on leadership to department teams (Supply Chain, Procurement, QC, Warehouse), overseeing recruitment and professional development, and coaching direct reports to create meaningful succession plans.
ABOUT YOU
* 5+ years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Operations, Logistics or related fields.
* Ideally experience working in the luxury fashion or jewellery industry.
* Experience working as a Subject Matter Expert on ERP implementation projects.
* Demonstrated experience with both in‐house (onshore) and offshore manufacturing environments.
* Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration or a related field or equivalent work experience.
* Thorough understanding of ERP (Cin7) and WMS functionality and transactional impacts.
* Sound knowledge of import and export requirements.
* Experience leading multiple departments with a minimum of 10 staff.
* Visionary thinking with strategic leadership skills, capable of planning long‐term strategies while remaining hands‐on.
* Strong analytical skills for data‐driven decision‐making in supply chain strategies.
* High level of proficiency in supply chain cost management, COGS management, and margin optimisation.
