About the Job

As a RF Engineer, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality connections that shape global challenges. With over 35 years of experience, our company has been at the forefront of communication solutions for consumers, businesses, and militaries worldwide.

Your primary responsibility will be to coordinate satellite earth station operations, including tracking antennas and RF/microwave electronics. You will work closely with vendors to maintain diverse RF systems and ensure seamless integration with our monitoring and control system software.

* Respond to alarms and document issues and resolutions in our ticketing system.
* Collaborate with external vendors on troubleshooting, resolution, and improvement activities.
* Coordinate with on-site vendors during installations.
* Develop, update, and maintain gateway-related Method & Procedure (M&P) and Runbook documentation.
* Analyze complex issues by integrating schematics, automated data, and other resources.
* Oversee or provide support for projects related to maintaining diverse gateway networks.
* Provide after-hours and weekend on-call support for AU systems.

What We're Looking For

To succeed in this role, you will need:

* A minimum of 2 years' experience in RF Communications or equivalent degree.
* 5+ years' experience running gateway uplink antenna systems, earth stations, or similar projects.
* Experience maintaining Satellite or Terrestrial Microwave Earth Stations.
* Proficiency in using RF test equipment like Spectrum analyzers and Signal Generators.
* Ability to mentor and lead individuals in the RF space.
* Capacity to perform 24x7 On-Call support on a rotating basis.
* Ability to lift 11.3 kg.
* Legally authorized to work in Australia.

Benefits and Requirements

* Working knowledge of IP encryption devices, Ka/Ku band RF equipment, tracking antennas, and communications theory is desirable.
* Experience with Monitor and Control System software is an asset.
* Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
* Project Management skills.
* Network system support and troubleshooting experience is a plus.
* Experience working in ticketing systems.
