Your new role
As Construction Manager, you will lead the setup and delivery of multiple childcare centres and residential projects across Sydney, with the first initial projects being mostly in Western Sydney. You’ll be the first boots on the ground - managing sites, building a reliable trade and supplier network, and laying the groundwork for a future team. You’ll work closely with our estimating and design teams based interstate and help shape the systems, safety standards, and operational structure for NSW.
Key responsibilities include:
- Establishing a strong trade and supplier base to support efficient project delivery
- Managing construction sites from initiation through to completion
- Collaborating with interstate teams on design, estimating, and safety
- Leading project scheduling and programming
- Building and mentoring a local team as the business scales
- Occasional travel interstate for onboarding and collaboration
What you'll need to succeed
- Demonstrated experience in construction management, with a history of running your own projects
- Solid leadership, accountability, and problem-solving skills
- A solid network of trades and suppliers in NSW, with the ability to negotiate and deliver efficiently
- Experience delivering childcare or residential projects, ideally in the $5M range
- Willingness to travel for onboarding and team integration
- A proactive, positive attitude and a collaborative mindset
- Familiarity with safety systems and scheduling tools
