About the Role:
We are seeking a motivated Sales Agronomist to be based out of our Batlow store and will cover the region of Batlow, as far west as Hillston and down to the Victorian border. You should be skilled at identifying pests, disease and weeds in crops and recommending solutions. Understanding nutrition programs and accreditation with appropriate nutrition requirements an advantage.
Hands-on specific training will be provided, but a solid foundation on which to build is an advantage.
Reporting to the Branch Manager, you will be servicing both existing and prospective customers.
Key areas of responsibility will include:
* Developing strong relationships with new and existing clients to grow the business
* Working closely and collaboratively as One Team, with other members of the team locally and nationally
* Pest and disease scouting on farms
* Provide high-quality advice to the client base to support their business objectives.
* Be part of an energetic team of people who are highly focused on the success of their customers
* Sales of required inputs to the customer base
* Develop pest and weed control programs
* Collect and analyse leaf and soil samples
About You
* A tertiary qualification in Agriculture, Agronomy, Horticulture or Extensive Horticulture experience
* A knowledge of appropriate nutrition requirements an advantage
* A passion for Horticulture with a positive mindset
* Good presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills
* Excellent customer service skills with the ability and willingness to build relationships with key stakeholders are essential to your success in this role
* Relevant computer skills across the Microsoft Office suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook
* A current driver's licence is essential, a truck licence MR/HR or willing to obtain one is advantageous
