Skills Required: 5+ years of hands-on experience in managing and optimizing backup and recovery systems for large-scale enterprise environments. Strong knowledge of enterprise backup tools, including Veritas NetBackup, Veeam, Commvault, or similar. Nice to Have: Data protection across physical, virtual & cloud (AWS, Azure) Backup policies, retention, and scheduling at scale Disaster recovery planning & execution Experience with tape, SAN, NAS & cloud storage Scripting (PowerShell, Python, Bash) for automation Backup knowledge: SQL, Oracle, VMware, Hyper-V Responsibilities Backup & Recovery Management: Configure, install, and manage tools like NetBackup, Veeam, or Commvault.
Ensure backup schedules meet SLAs and conduct regular disaster recovery tests.
Performance Optimization: Enhance backup efficiency using best practices (e.g., deduplication, compression) and monitor system performance to resolve bottlenecks.
Lead resolution of complex issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement preventive measures.
