The DIABETES across the LIFECOURSE: Northern Australia Partnership (the Partnership) is a program of work at Menzies School of Health Research that aims to improve health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.

The Partnership's PANDORA study commenced in 2011 and is ongoing. Women with and without diabetes in pregnancy were recruited for the study when they were pregnant and now these women and their children are being followed up for the third Wave of this study (Wave 3). Wave 3 is focusing on seeing women and their children to better understand the impact of diabetes in pregnancy.

The Partnership is looking for a Project Manager to lead the PANDORA study. This will involve leading daily research activities, supervision of other research staff and leading data collection and management.

* The coordination of participant assessments, including management of clinic bookings and required equipment and laboratory supplies, as well as rostering and supervision of staff, ensuring adherence to the current PANDORA Study Protocol.
* Managing project budgets (with support) and overseeing compliance with funding agreements.
* Maintenance and nurturing of existing relationships as well as the development of new working relationships with community stakeholders in established study sites.


We are looking for:

As a motivated individual, you will come with a track record of engagement, leadership, and advisory experience with robust impact. You will be confident in supporting and mentoring a small team of employees.


Other skills:

* Tertiary qualifications and extensive experience in a relevant field; or extensive management experience and proven management expertise in a research or capacity development setting; or an equivalent combination of relevant experience and/or education and training.
* Proven financial management experience, including a sound knowledge of budgetary processes, invoicing, payments and acquittals, and experience in managing multiple budgets concurrently.
* Exemplary written and verbal communication skills, with experience in writing reports and applications from a variety of different funding sources.

The Benefits:

* Base Salary $114,014.00 - $124,170.00 per annum, pro rata (Total remuneration package including superannuation $140,169.00 - $151,747.00 per annum, pro rata)
* Generous leave provisions including 6 weeks annual leave
* Salary packaging up to $15,900 per annum and $2,650 meal and entertainment card tax free
* Option to increase Super to 14%
