We are seeking a skilled Telecommunications Technician to join our growing team.
Role
As a Telecommunications Technician, you will be responsible for the installation, testing, and maintenance of telecommunications systems and equipment, ensuring reliable network performance for our clients. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other technicians to deliver efficient, safe, and high-quality results.
Key Responsibilities & Duties
Install, terminate, and test fibre optic, copper, and wireless communication systems.Assemble, connect, and secure cabling, wiring, and related hardware in accordance with technical drawings and specifications.Identify, locate, and repair faults or malfunctions in telecommunications equipment and networks.Conduct performance tests and preventive maintenance to ensure system integrity and reliability.Install and configure network devices such as routers, switches, and patch panels.Assist in commissioning new systems and upgrading existing infrastructure.Prepare technical documentation, service records, and test results.Adhere to all workplace health, safety, and quality assurance standards.
Skills & Qualifications
AQF Certificate III including at least two years of on-the-job training, or AQF Certificate IV (ANZSCO Skill Level 3)Minimum 3 years' experience in telecommunications installation, maintenance, or network support.Sound knowledge of fibre optic and copper cabling systems, structured cabling standards, and wireless communications.Ability to interpret network diagrams, blueprints, and technical manuals.Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.Effective communication and teamwork abilities.Current driver's licence and willingness to travel to various project sites.Salary & LocationSalary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum plus superannuation (commensurate with experience).Location: MJI Group, Ingleburn NSW 2565.
