Position Information
Coonabarabran High School is a comprehensive high school which includes a Support Unit with four classes, situated in North West New South Wales. It has an enrolment of 330 students. Approximately 27% of students identify as Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islanders. The school enjoys a long and proud tradition of excellent student outcomes in academic, sporting and cultural fields of endeavour. The school provides students with diverse and rich educational opportunities; both within and beyond the classroom. The students are positively encouraged and guided to extend themselves in a variety of fields, embracing the school motto 'Forever Dare'.

Selection Criteria
Approval to teach Science 7 - 10, Biology and willingness to teach Chemistry and Physics.
Demonstrated ability to implement quality teaching practice to engage and inspire students.
Evidence of effective classroom management to promote a supportive and positive learning environment.
Understanding and commitment to the NSW Department of Education’s Aboriginal Education Policy.
