About This Role
We are currently seeking a skilled Process Engineer for a 3-month FIFO contract with a background in metallurgy to join a leading mining operation on a site-based, short-term contract. This role is critical in supporting the day-to-day performance of the plant, driving process efficiency, and ensuring production targets are met.
- Provide technical support across iron ore processing circuits
- Monitor and analyse plant performance to identify opportunities for optimisation
- Collaborate with operations and maintenance teams to troubleshoot process issues
- Assist in the implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards
- Prepare reports and contribute to metallurgical investigations and test work

Requirements
- Previous experience in a process engineering/metallurgist role within the iron ore sector
- Tertiary qualification in Metallurgy, Chemical Engineering, or a related discipline
- Strong knowledge of mineral processing and plant operations
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Effective communicator with a team-oriented approach
- Must be available to start immediately
- Australian residency is essential
