Position Overview
Mammoth Underground is seeking an experienced Commercial Superintendent to join our leadership team in a hybrid role, split between our Brisbane Head Office and site-based operations. This is a key position responsible for leading commercial, contractual, and cost management functions while supporting operational delivery underground.
Reporting to the Operations Manager, the Commercial Superintendent will provide commercial leadership across site and corporate teams. You will ensure strong cost control, contract governance, and commercial risk management while maintaining close alignment between head office and site priorities.
This role suits a commercially astute professional who is comfortable operating at both a strategic and operational level.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead all commercial and contractual activities for Mammoth Underground operations
* Manage budgets, forecasts, cost reporting, and financial performance
* Oversee contract administration, variations, claims, and negotiations
* Identify and manage commercial risk and opportunity
* Support tendering, procurement, and contractor management
* Partner closely with site leadership to support operational outcomes
* Provide accurate and timely reporting to senior leadership
* Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and governance standards
About You (Skills & Experience)
* Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related discipline.
* Proven experience in a Commercial Superintendent or senior commercial role, preferably in underground mining or heavy industry
* Strong understanding of contracts, cost control, and financial management
* Demonstrated ability to work effectively between head office and site environments
* Strong stakeholder management and negotiation skills
* Commercially driven with a practical, solutions-focused mindset
* High commitment to safety, integrity, and compliance
