About the role:
This hands-on role manages building maintenance and service contracts across Council facilities, overseeing contractors, ensuring compliance, and coordinating works at key civic sites. With a strong focus on asset management, fire safety, and efficient service delivery, the position drives improvements, supports cleaning operations, and maintains accurate records using Council's systems.

We are seeking:
* Hands-on experience in building and construction, backed by a trade qualification and strong knowledge of WHS, environmental standards, and essential services in NSW.
* Confident working with the Building Code of Australia and reading plans, drawings, and contracts.
* Can manage service contracts and coordinate works across multiple civic and community facilities
* Is capable of scheduling and delivering both planned and reactive maintenance efficiently
* Understands fire safety requirements and can manage related compliance and servicing
* Communicates effectively with internal stakeholders and contractors to ensure timely service delivery
* Has experience managing systems and maintenance for automatic doors, security systems, and air-conditioning units

Where it's located:
This position is based in Murwillumbah, and can be directed to work from any Council work site.
