MCS Civil is seeking a talented Accountant to join its team in Rutherford, NSW. In this full-time role, you will be responsible for managing accounting and financial functions, ensuring accurate and up-to-date financial records.
Job Summary
* Prepare and analyze financial statements, including profit and loss, balance sheets, and cash flow reports.
* Manage accounts payable and receivable processes.
* Assist with annual budget preparation and monitor performance.
* Provide financial advice and support on strategic decisions.
* Ensure compliance with relevant accounting standards and tax regulations.
Required Skills and Qualifications
* Degree in Accounting or Finance, with Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification.
* Full working rights in Australia.
* Minimum 5 years of experience in management accounting or financial control role, preferably within the construction industry.
* Strong knowledge of accounting principles, practices, and financial reporting standards.
* Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
* Proficient in using Xero accounting software, with strong / advanced skills in Excel and other Microsoft products.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to work under pressure.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
