About the Role

The Early Intervention & Family Support (EIFS) programs work alongside parents and family carers who have children in their care to improve safety and connectedness with local community services.

The EIFS Case Manager will provide initial screening and assessment and develop with families their family case plan. They will identify barriers and provide practical, in-home support for carers, oversee case management activity, provide parenting and trauma information for carers, and specific supports for children to strengthen links to community and culture.

This is a Permanent Full-Time opportunity based in Karratha, WA within our Early Intervention and Family Support (EIFS) Program. The position reports to the Coordinator Pilbara Services.


Key Selection Criteria

* An appropriate qualification in human services and/or equivalent experience and skills.
* A knowledge and understanding of Aboriginal culture and values and an awareness of the current issues faced by Aboriginal children, young people and their families.
* Demonstrated ability in working as part of a team.
* Experience in Case Management.
* Knowledge of traumatised and vulnerable children, young people, and families.
* An understanding of attachment, trauma theories, child development, child-centred approach, and resilience.
* Demonstrated commitment to working collaboratively and with the capacity to liaise with community services, other agencies, and the community.
* An understanding of the child protection and the out-of-home care service system.


Our Offer

* Hourly Rate of $49.28 to $51.51 as outlined in the SCHADS Award Level 5, dependent on qualification and experience.

You must have a:

* Valid and current Driver's Licence;
* Satisfactory Criminal History Check (paid for by MacKillop);
* Valid Employee Working with Children Check;
* Valid and current NDIS Workers Screening Check (for risk assessed/client facing roles). MacKillop can assist successful candidates with their application.
