About the Role
We are seeking an experienced and passionate Quality Coordinator & Clinical Educator to join our leadership team at Nexia Aged Care in New Gisborne.
This dual role combines quality governance and compliance with education and professional development.You will play a key part in maintaining accreditation, supporting workforce capability, and leading the transition to the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and Aged Care Act reforms **********).
Working closely with the Facility Manager and Clinical Governance team, you will help ensure the delivery of safe, person-centred and evidence-based care through robust systems and staff education.
Key Responsibilities
Lead the coordination and delivery of staff education and professional development programs.
Design and deliver onboarding, mandatory and clinical training aligned with legislative changes and best practice.
Support the transition and implementation of the Strengthened Aged Care Quality Standards and Aged Care Act reforms.
Prepare the facility for accreditation and maintain compliance across all care areas.
Conduct audits, gap analyses, and develop corrective action plans.
Mentor clinical teams to strengthen practice and improve resident outcomes.
Oversee incident, feedback, and quality review processes.
Collaborate with Facility Managers and Clinical Governance to drive continuous improvement.
Oversee the completion and timely submission of National Quality Indicator Program (NQIP) data and reports.
About You
Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
Minimum 2 years' experience in aged care quality, compliance, or education roles.
Strong understanding of Aged Care Quality Standards and upcoming Strengthened Standards.
Awareness of Aged Care Act reforms **********) and their operational implications.
Demonstrated ability to lead education and support multidisciplinary teams.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and clinical documentation systems (e.g. LeeCare).
Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Current Police Check and Driver's Licence.
Certificate IV in Training & Assessment.
Experience in accreditation and audit management.
Postgraduate qualifications in Quality, Education or Compliance.
