Summary Hyatt Regency Brisbane is a dynamic full‑service 5‑star hotel seeking an Associate Director of Sales to lead the Sales and Events Department. The role reports directly to the Director of Sales and Marketing and supports team alignment with the hotel’s strategic sales initiatives.
Main Responsibilities
Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue and occupancy targets.
Support oversight of the Sales and Events team, providing guidance, coaching and leadership to drive high performance with a focus on collaboration.
Develop and monitor Sales and Events budgets, ensuring efficient and effective use of resources.
Analyse market trends and competitor activity to identify new business opportunities.
Collate data‑driven strategic plans and apply strategic insight to identify market opportunities and future trends.
Collaborate with hotel management to align Sales and Events initiatives with overall business objectives.
Drive revenue growth and increase market share across all segments.
Represent the hotel on sales trips to key market cities and industry events.
Stay up-to-date with industry best practices and implement innovative Sales and Events tactics.
Qualifications / Experience
Experience in Sales & Events within the hospitality industry – strong transient experience preferable.
Proven track record of successfully leading Sales and Events teams to achieve ambitious revenue and growth targets.
Understanding of the competitive landscape and ability to develop strategic, data‑driven Sales and Events plans.
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
Highly organized, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work effectively under pressure.
