A growing Managed Service Provider based around Box Hill, Melbourne, is looking for a Level 1 IT Support Engineer to join their team. This is an excellent opportunity for someone with 1–2 years of experience in an MSP or technical support environment who wants to develop their skills across diverse technologies and clients.
Salary: $60K–$65K + Super (depending on experience)
Location: Melbourne | 5 days Onsite role
MUST be an Australian Citizen, NZ Citizen or Permanent Resident
MUST have 1-2 Years of experience in MSP Environment

WHAT WILL YOU BE DOING?
As a Level 1 Engineer, you'll be the first point of contact for clients, resolving tickets, troubleshooting technical issues, and ensuring systems run smoothly.
Day-to-day responsibilities include:
Providing first-line technical support across Microsoft 365, Windows desktop, and server environments
Troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues (routers, firewalls, switches)
Installing and configuring software and systems for new users
Logging and managing tickets through the PSA system and meeting SLAs
Supporting backup, security, and cloud technologies (M365, Azure, AWS, Datto)
Assisting senior engineers with project rollouts and client onboarding
Maintaining clear and accurate documentation of incidents and resolutions
Building strong relationships through friendly, professional client communication
WE NEED YOU TO HAVE…
1–2 years' experience in IT support, within an MSP environment
Understanding of Windows Server, Microsoft 365, Active Directory, and basic networking
Familiarity with routers, switches, printers, and common hardware troubleshooting
Excellent communication and customer service skills
Strong problem-solving ability and a proactive approach to learning
Full working rights in Australia (Citizen or PR required)
Current driver's licence and reliable transport
IT'S NICE TO HAVE…
Exposure to RMM and PSA tools (e.g., ConnectWise, Datto, NinjaOne)
Basic PowerShell or scripting knowledge
Certifications such as Microsoft 365 Fundamentals or CompTIA A+
Experience supporting cloud or telecommunication environments
