A merit list or pool may be used for up to 18 months.This merit list or pool may be used to fill other vacancies in CampbellFor more information about Merit Lists or Merit Pools please go to APSC's website - The APS Merit Principle The RoleThe APS 6 Policy Implementation Officer will play a key role in supporting the management of Defence's Conflict of Interest (COI) policy requirements by managing various projects to support Defence's COI policy position.You will be responsible for a range of activities and deliverables including:Ensuring current enterprise COI forms remain in line with emerging policy as well as developing new forms as new initiatives come on board;Developing a suite of enterprise wide COI reports to inform Group Heads/Service Chiefs and relevant stakeholders on COI matters;Identifying, developing and implementing appropriate controls and undertaking assurance activities to measure adherence with COI policy;Facilitating the annual Defence Senior Leadership Group Declaration of Interest process;Identifying and delivering improvement activities to further assist Defence Personnel meet their COI obligations;Developing and maintaining relationships with key internal stakeholders; andProviding advice on the application of the COI policy to address queries received via the Defence Integrity and Integrity Forms inboxes and directly from Defence Personnel.About our TeamThe Directorate of Integrity Policy within Defence Integrity Division, Governance Group is looking for a Conflict of Interest Policy Implementation Officer to be a part of their small but dynamic team.The Directorate provides a working environment that offers the flexibility to be innovative, provides supportive leadership, opportunities to develop alongside talented colleagues, and the guidance and professional development to ensure you thrive in your new role. You will join a high performing team that is collegiate and creative.The APS 6 Policy Implementation Officer will work under the direction of an EL1 and may at times have supervisory dutiesOur Ideal CandidateOur ideal candidate will be have demonstrated experience in managing minor projects including project planning, identifying needs and appropriate solutions, undertaking research and analysis, identifying and managing risks, developing and working to schedules, identifying, developing and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships and making independent decisions relating to your area of responsibility.You will have previous experience with interpreting policy and procedures to provide advice and develop appropriate enabling products, and in identifying and establishing appropriate controls and assurance activities. You will have sound writing skills to enable you to develop enabling products (including factsheets, frequently asked questions, intranet page materiel) and provide responses to queries. Whilst IT qualifications are not required, a strong interest and demonstrated ability to quickly adapt to various IT systems is required.
