WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
**About the Team**
Based at the Military Vehicle Centre of Excellence site located in Redbank, QLD, you will be an integral member of the Electronic Solutions Software team and work in partnership with Technical/Project Managers and project teams for the creation of 3D assets for the Boxer CRV - Immersive Tactical Trainers (ITT), Desktop Tactical Trainers (DTT) and other virtual simulation systems.
**About the Role**
Reporting to the Technical Manager Software you will modelling, texturing, rigging and scripting of 3D models and the creation of Visual Database terrains from GIS source data to provide a realistic graphical environment for the simulator systems. The role also provides an excellent growth path into software development for Virtual Simulation Systems and Serious Gaming software.
- As the Technical Artist, you can anticipate some of your day-to-day tasks to include:
- Following 3D asset creation pipelines to model, texture and implement 3D assets into Simulation runtimes;
- Creating configuration scripts for the models created to allow them to be used in Simulation runtimes;
- Developing 3D Visual Databases to be used in Simulation runtimes;
- Developing scripts and model behaviours;
- Creating/ Manipulating GIS source data to be used in the creation of Visual Databases;
- Testing and verifying 3D assets and Visual Databases in Simulation runtimes; and
- Developing & documenting 3D modelling pipelines.
WHAT QUALIFICATIONS YOU SHOULD HAVE

The experience and skillset best suited to this role includes:
- Entry level to 3 years' experience and knowledge in 3D modelling pipelines, including modelling and texturing, for use within 3D runtimes;
- Diploma of Game Design or related field;
- Knowledge of programming fundamentals;
- Ability to travel internationally and interstate, when required; and
- Must hold or be eligible to obtain an Australian Government Security Clearance (must hold Australian Citizenship).
