We are searching for an exceptional Assistant Director who possesses the passion and qualifications to lead with distinction. Ideally, you bring previous experience in a leadership role within the Early Childhood Profession. As a key leader in our centre, you will not only engage with children daily but also inspire and guide a team of educators.
Your role as Assistant Director will be to work closely with the Centre Director to build and maintain strong, positive relationships with children, their families, and the local community. Your dedication to fostering an inclusive and nurturing environment will set the tone for an exceptional early learning experience that leaves a lasting impression.

As an Assistant Director, you will be at the forefront of this vision, helping to drive the school forward while creating an engaging and exciting space for both children and educators.
- Working in consultation with the Centre Director to oversee the daily operations of the centre.
- Working collaboratively with the Centre Director to ensure you both have time to be present in classrooms, mentoring and engaging with staff and children.
- Supporting educators in planning and implementing quality programs using your knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).
- Ensuring the centre is consistently well presented and offers a safe and welcoming environment.
- Collaborating and supporting the ongoing development of each team member.
- Maintaining and managing resources across the centre.
- Ensuring all health & safety benchmarks are maintained at the highest level.
- Initiating and participating in key events, parent-teacher evenings, centre tours and social/fundraising events.
**To be successful in this role, you will**:
- Ideally have at least 2 years previous experience in a similar role.
- Have an ACECQA recognised qualification Early Childhood Teachers Degree, or be Diploma qualified.
- Hold a current First Aid, CPR, and Asthma and Anaphylaxis qualifications.
- Possess a current Working with Children Check and Child Protection Certificate.
- Have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Have demonstrated leadership experience and skills.
- Be a confident leader who can drive cultural change and develop a high performing team.
- Have a caring disposition and a positive attitude.
- Have an ability to communicate effectively with children, families, and staff members.
- Possess a passion, enthusiasm, and a genuine love of working with children.
- Highly desirable: have a sound understanding of CCS.
