Key Responsibilities:
Your duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
* Overseeing and actively participating in the daily preparation and production of all menu items, including pizzas, entrées, mains, and function menus.
* Planning, reviewing, and developing menus in line with customer demand, market trends, seasonal availability, and business budget requirements.

* Managing food ordering, stock control, portion sizes, waste reduction, storage procedures, and inventory rotation.
* Monitoring food production costs, menu performance, and the profitability of individual menu items.
* Reviewing sales trends, customer preferences, and promotional opportunities to support revenue growth.
* Accurately monitoring stock levels, kitchen supplies, equipment, and operational needs, and reporting any requirements to management.
* Ensuring all food is prepared, cooked, presented, and served to a consistently high standard and within required service times.
* Safely and effectively operating, maintaining, and monitoring kitchen equipment, tools, and appliances.
* Training, mentoring, and supervising kitchen staff, including supporting the onboarding and development of new team members.
* Implementing and enforcing food safety, hygiene, and HACCP procedures across all areas of kitchen operations.
* Maintaining high standards of food quality, cleanliness, safety, and preparation processes at all times.
* Reviewing kitchen reports, audits, records, and documentation to identify risks, resolve issues, and maintain compliance.
* Improving kitchen efficiency by reviewing and enhancing operational procedures, policies, workflows, and service standards.
What We’re Looking For
* Experience in Modern Australian including caterings.
* Hands-on chefs with solid restaurant experience are encouraged to apply
* A deep understanding of food preparation and the ability to produce high-quality, in-house dishes
* Strong knowledge of kitchen hygiene and safety standards
* A well-groomed and professional appearance
Other Requirements
* Certificate IV in Commercial Cookery or higher
* At least 1-2 years of experience as a chef
* Excellent communication and organizational skills
* A team player supportive of a collaborative work culture
* High standards in food taste and presentation
Other Details
Job Type: Full-time permanent position with all applicable benefits.
Chef Salary: AUD $77,000 to $80,000 per year plus superannuation.
