IR Electrical & Airconditioning Solutions are looking for a qualified Commercial HVAC/Refrigeration Technician to join our team! We are a locally owned and operated company delivering high-quality electrical and HVAC services across Darwin and surrounding areas. With major commercial contracts and a strong residential client base, we are looking for a qualified Commercial Refrigeration & HVAC Technician to join our growing team.
About the role:
You will be responsible for installation, servicing, fault-finding, repair and maintenance of commercial refrigeration and air conditioning systems across a range of commercial, industrial and critical infrastructure sites.
Key Responsibilities:
· Installation of commercial VRV/VRF and HVAC systems
· Install and commission mechanical services equipment in accordance with manufacturer specifications and Australian standards
· Perform preventative maintenance and fault finding on commercial and light industrial systems
· Maintain accurate service records, asset registers and maintenance reports
· Carry out repairs on compressors, evaporators, condensers, fan motors, control systems and refrigeration circuits
· Identify refrigerant leaks and carry out compliant refrigerant recovery and replacement
· Provide clear documentation outlining cause of failure and recommended corrective actions
Desirable Experience:
· Experience servicing healthcare, government or critical infrastructure facilities
· Experience with BMS systems and fault coordination
· Experience managing site asset registers and maintenance schedules
Requirements:
· Qualification in HVAC or Refrigeration, such as a Certificate III in Refrigeration & Air-conditioning
· Current ARCtick Licence
· Valid Driver’s Licence, White Card, Ochre Card (or ability to obtain), Police Clearance (or ability to obtain)
