The role
The successful candidate will need to undertake and possess:
- Ability to read and interpret drawings to fine specifications Experience in handling a range of materials, including difficult materials
- Responsible for the construction, repair, and installation of double brick and besser block structures in accordance with plans and specifications.
- Construction and repair of stone and large masonry slabs
- Applying or removing mortar with a trowel
- Cutting, shaping and installing polished stones and bricks using machines and hand tools to high accuracy.
- Constructing arches and ornamental brickwork / stonework
- Using levels to check building alignment
- Strong attention to detail
