About the Role:
The Office of the Technical Regulator (OTR) plays a vital role in ensuring safety and compliance in the electrical and gas industries in South Australia. We are committed to upholding high technical standards, protecting the community, and supporting industry stakeholders.
We are currently seeking a motivated professional to join our team, providing essential administrative and compliance support to the Electrical Installations and Appliance Safety Section.
This position will be a part of a professional dedicated team, committed to supporting public safety through regulatory compliance. This is a dynamic and detail-oriented role that requires strong organisational skills and a proactive mindset.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide quality administrative support, including maintaining technical databases, drafting correspondence, and preparing reports and meeting minutes.
* Process regulatory reports and maintain accurate records to support compliance with relevant legislation.
* Coordinate and track technical audit activities, including issuing audit requests, compiling reports, and monitoring follow-up actions.
* Prepare and send compliance-related communications, including rectification notices and audit notifications to contractors and property owners.
* Support team operations by attending meetings, transcribing interviews, and providing backup for electronic certificate of compliance systems.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
To succeed in this role, you will need to have:
* Proficiency in the use and maintenance of internet databases.
* Strong communication skills - both written and verbal - with the ability to engage a wide range of stakeholders.
* Demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities and work flexibly under pressure.
* High attention to detail and accuracy in data and records management.
* Proven experience in administrative roles, including drafting minutes, reports, letters, and technical documentation.
