- **Classification - TGO2 - Technical Officer L2 - $**74,128 to $**78,700**:

- **Second Classification - TGO1 - Technical Officer L1 - $48,067 to $68,997**
- **Full time OR Part Time - Temporary and Ongoing opportunities available**

**About the Opportunity**

We currently have exciting opportunities to join the **Children's Sleep Disorders **team as a** Sleep technician (TGO1)/Senior Sleep Technician (TGO2), **where you will be responsible for:

- Provide technical and organizational support to maintain high clinical service levels in the Sleep Disorders Unit.
- Prepare patients for sleep studies and perform overnight sleep studies using computerized physiological data acquisition equipment.
- Conduct diagnostic and therapeutic sleep studies, including the analysis, scoring, and basic interpretation of sleep studies.
- Ensure accurate and detailed record keeping, including electronic archiving of clinical records.
- Book patients for sleep studies and related procedures.
- Calibrate and perform routine maintenance on equipment, and manage the ordering and maintenance of consumables.
- Participate in accreditation and quality control activities.
- Operate as part of a multidisciplinary team, including medical, nursing, technical, research, and administrative staff.
- Assist in the training of junior or new staff and students under supervision.

To be successful in this role, you will have:

- Ability to work under pressure with limited supervision, set priorities, and adapt to unexpected changes.
- Follow written or verbal instructions precisely and promptly communicate problems to senior staff.
- Demonstrated initiative, good organizational skills, attention to detail, and commitment to accuracy and quality.
- Effective verbal communication with the public, co-workers, and medical staff; able to establish rapport with children and parents.
- Maturity and empathy in dealing with situations, staff, and patients.
- Ability to take direction and act on feedback positively.
