ACCOUNTS PAYABLE ASSISTANT | GERALDTON, WA
Red Dust Holdings (RDH) is a progressive Civil Construction & Mining Services Contractor based in Geraldton, WA, with active projects across the state. Due to continued growth within our operations, we are now seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Payable Assistant to join our Finance team in Geraldton.
This role is ideally suited to a candidate who thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume environment and enjoys structured, data-entry focused work. Working closely with and supporting the Accounts Payable Officer, you will play a key role in ensuring supplier invoices and payments are processed accurately and efficiently.
About the Role
Location: Geraldton, WA - please note this is not a FIFO or relocation opportunity
Hours: Full-Time, Monday to Friday 37.5 hours per week (Part time hours considered for the right candidate)
This role plays an important part in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of our financial operations. Working within a supportive and solutions-focused Finance team, you will manage supplier accounts, ensure timely processing of payments, and contribute to the ongoing efficiency of departmental systems.
Key Responsibilities
* High-volume data entry and processing of supplier invoices
* Matching purchase orders to invoices and checking for accuracy
* Assisting with supplier statement reconciliations
* Preparing supplier payments for review in line with company policies and timeframes
* Maintaining supplier records and documentation
* Assisting with credit applications and new supplier onboarding
* Responding to supplier queries in a professional and timely manner
* Filing, record-keeping and maintaining organized finance systems
* Ensuring compliance with company policies and financial procedures
* Supporting continuous improvement of finance systems and processes
* Contributing positively to a collaborative team culture
What You'll Bring
* Previous experience in Accounts Payable, Bookkeeping or data entry
* Experience using MYOB and Microsoft Excel
* Basic understanding of accounts payable processes
* Ability to work efficiently in a high-volume environment
* High attention to detail and accuracy
* Clear communication skills (written and verbal)
* Strong organisational and time management skills
* A proactive attitude with initiative and accountability
* Professional, team-focused approach with a strong work ethic
