Senior Asset Officer (3-Month Contract) Immediate Start

Your new company
We are currently partnering with a government organisation to recruit an experienced Senior Asset Officer for a short-term contract opportunity. This role plays a critical part in ensuring infrastructure service levels are achieved through effective asset management practices, systems, and data integrity.
Your new role
You will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing asset management systems, processes, and data across a diverse infrastructure portfolio. This is a hands-on role requiring both technical expertise and strong stakeholder engagement across the organisation.
Key Responsibilities

* Develop, implement, monitor, and review asset management procedures and work instructions in line with legislation, standards, and guidelines.
* Maintain and enhance the asset management database through collaboration with internal teams and external specialists
* Contribute to the asset renewal program through data collation, analysis, and interpretation
* Provide specialist input into the development and review of Asset Management Plans
* Deliver asset management training and system support to internal stakeholders
* Provide expert asset management advice across all areas of the organisation
* Liaise with external stakeholders on asset-related matters
* Ensure all corporate information is accurately captured in line with recordkeeping policies and procedures
* Deliver a high standard of customer service to internal and external stakeholders
* Undertake other duties as required by the Team Leader Asset Management
What you'll need to succeed
Essential Requirements
* Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Asset Management, or a related discipline, or equivalent experience
* Professional membership (or working towards) with a recognised asset management organisation
Skills & Experience
* Demonstrated experience developing and improving asset management processes, systems, and frameworks
* Strong understanding of asset management principles and lifecycle planning
* Experience working with and analysing large datasets, producing reports, graphs, and insights
* Proficiency in GIS and asset management systems
* Strong analytical and reporting capability
* Ability to approach tasks in a logical, structured, and outcomes-focused manner
* Proven ability to deliver high-quality service to internal and external stakeholders
* Strong communication skills with the ability to train and support users
