About the Role
As the Store Manager, you will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our Tamworth store, leading a small team and ensuring every customer receives exceptional service.
You'll champion presentation, team development, and operational accuracy while keeping the store running smoothly and efficiently.
This role requires a hands-on leader who is confident on the shop floor, enthusiastic about retail, and passionate about the equine industry.
Key Responsibilities Customer Service & Store Presentation Ensure the store is presented clean, tidy, organised and welcoming at all times
Provide expert advice to customers across all product areas
Maintain exceptional customer service standards within your team
Manage and resolve customer queries and complaints professionally
Proactively build strong customer relationships and loyalty
Lead, motivate and support your team in a positive, respectful environment
Communicate clearly with staff on daily roles and expectations
Oversee recruitment, training, performance management and wellbeing
Maintain clear monthly rosters and ensure the store is adequately staffed Product & Stock Management Ensure accurate pricing, labelling and product presentation
Manage damaged goods, returns, credits and follow-through
Oversee receipting, stock rotation, stock accuracy and stocktaking processes
Ensure customer orders and backorders are actioned promptly and followed up Operational Responsibilities Manage daily banking, end-of-day balancing and POS accuracy
Oversee mail handling and general store administration
Maintain accurate records and open communication with head office
Maintain vigilance on loss prevention and store security About You
You will thrive in this role if you are:
Experienced in the equine industry with strong product knowledge across saddlery, horse care, and related equipment (essential) An experienced retail supervisor/manager
Confident in leading a team and building a supportive culture
Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
Customer-focused, approachable and solutions-driven
Able to multitask in a busy environment
