About the Role
This role will be responsible for delivering the Skilling Queenslanders for Work Program, planning and coordinating all activities to ensure success. The role will involve recruiting, supporting, and engaging program participants.
The coordinator will mentor and support participants in developing employability skills that lead to employment outcomes. The program focuses on providing support to address barriers such as travel, literacy, and access to local employer networks, resulting in higher employment participation rates, increased education levels, better access to services, and greater community engagement and socioeconomic benefits.
This position will also involve liaising with the Department of Trade, Employment, and Training (DTET), other government departments, community organisations, and service providers to ensure successful program delivery.
The role includes business development with employers and providing training and assessment as needed.

Essential Criteria
* Qualifications in Training and Assessment, Individual Support, Aged Care, Disability Work, and/or Community Services
* Experience in delivering government-funded programs like Skilling Queenslanders for Work or similar.
* Coordination experience, preferably working with vulnerable populations.
* Cultural understanding of CALD communities, their barriers, and support needs.
* Ability to understand labour market trends and barriers faced by job seekers.
* Ability to handle unpredictable situations and behaviours.
* Strong interpersonal skills for consulting and negotiating with stakeholders.
Desirable Experience
* Knowledge of and contacts within the Business Industry.
* Experience working with CALD community members and groups.
* Innovative thinking and initiative.
* Proficiency in MS Office 365 and communication technologies.
* Experience providing culturally appropriate services to CALD or vulnerable populations.
