About the Role

With a strong presence in the transport and infrastructure sector, the business supports large-scale rail networks through specialist engineering, construction, and maintenance capabilities that keep essential freight and passenger services moving safely and efficiently.
We are seeking an experienced Senior HSE Advisor to support rail maintenance operations in Port Hedland. In this role, you will provide leadership and guidance across Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) initiatives, ensuring compliance with industry standards while driving a proactive safety culture across operational teams and contractors.
Key Responsibilities
* Support operational teams in implementing HSE strategies, policies, and procedures across rail maintenance activities
* Provide coaching and guidance to site leaders to strengthen safety leadership and risk management practices
* Lead incident investigations, reporting, and implementation of corrective actions
* Conduct site inspections, audits, and risk assessments to ensure compliance with HSE standards
* Assist in developing and reviewing safety management plans, risk registers, and safe work procedures
* Promote continuous improvement in safety performance across projects and maintenance programs
* Support contractor management and ensure safe work method statements and site requirements are met
* Deliver training, toolbox talks, and safety communications to site personnel
About You
* Minimum 5 years' experience in a Senior HSE Advisor role
* Proven rail industry experience, ideally within rail construction or maintenance
* Strong understanding of Australian HSE legislation and rail safety requirements
* Demonstrated ability to coach operational teams and drive a proactive safety culture
* Experience conducting audits, incident investigations, and risk assessments
* Relevant Health & Safety / WHS qualification (Diploma, Advanced Diploma or equivalent)
* Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
