Senior Optics Engineer Role
This position plays a vital role in sustaining and advancing the company's world-leading spectroscopic instrumentation and manufacturing capabilities.
The ideal candidate will have experience in optical engineering, preferably in a production or manufacturing environment. They should possess a strong understanding of spectroscopic techniques and applications.
* Maintain and improve optical systems to support production operations.
* Lead optics insourcing projects to enhance local manufacturing capabilities.
* Provide hands-on engineering support for test equipment recovery and calibration during downtime.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and performance of new and existing products.
* Develop and maintain manufacturing databases for optical performance and test data.
Key Qualifications
* Bachelor's or higher degree in Physics, Optics, or Engineering.
* 10+ years of experience in optical engineering.
* Strong understanding of spectroscopic techniques and applications.
* Experience with optical metrology, optomechanics, and design tools.
* Familiarity with laser physics, light scattering, polarization, and detection schemes.
* Proficiency in data analysis tools.
