We are seeking an accomplished and commercially astute Executive General Manager – Industrial Operations to lead the strategic direction, operational performance, and continuous improvement of a large-scale industrial portfolio based in Melbourne. This is a senior executive role with broad accountability across operations, asset performance, supply chain, safety, workforce capability, and business transformation. Reporting to the Chief Executive Officer or Managing Director, the Executive General Manager will play a critical role in shaping operational strategy and ensuring disciplined execution across multiple sites, functions, and teams. This role requires a highly capable leader with deep experience in complex operating environments and a proven ability to deliver strong commercial, operational, and cultural outcomes. Key Responsibilities Lead the overall performance of industrial operations across multiple sites, ensuring safe, efficient, and commercially strong outcomes Develop and execute operational strategy aligned with broader business objectives, growth priorities, and customer requirements Drive operational excellence, productivity improvement, and cost optimisation across manufacturing, processing, logistics, maintenance, and support functions Oversee asset performance, workforce planning, supply chain coordination, and service delivery to ensure reliable operational output Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial management across the operations portfolio Ensure compliance with all relevant health, safety, environmental, industrial relations, and regulatory obligations Manage enterprise-level operational risk, business continuity, and performance governance Lead major transformation, capital improvement, and business improvement initiatives across the operating model Build strong relationships with executive leadership, customers, suppliers, regulators, unions, and other key stakeholders Lead, mentor, and develop senior operational leaders, building capability and succession strength across the business Foster a high-performance culture focused on accountability, collaboration, continuous improvement, and safety leadership Contribute to executive and board-level reporting on performance, risk, strategic priorities, and operational delivery Requirements Required Experience and Qualifications Significant executive or senior general management experience in industrial operations, manufacturing, processing, infrastructure, logistics, or related sectors Demonstrated success leading large-scale, multi-site operations in complex and performance-driven environments Strong understanding of operational strategy, supply chain, asset performance, workforce capability, and continuous improvement Proven commercial and financial leadership capability, including budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and performance management Experience leading business transformation, operational improvement, or growth initiatives Strong knowledge of health, safety, environmental, and regulatory requirements in industrial settings Excellent stakeholder engagement, communication, and leadership skills Ability to influence at executive and board level while maintaining strong operational credibility Relevant tertiary qualification in engineering, business, commerce, operations management, or a related discipline Preferred Experience Experience in the Australian industrial or manufacturing sector Exposure to multi-site production, distribution, or asset-intensive operating models Familiarity with industrial relations, workforce planning, and contractor management Experience working in customer-driven or service-led operating environments Strong understanding of ESG, sustainability, and operational governance considerations Benefits Senior executive opportunity within a significant industrial or operationally complex business Melbourne-based role with broad leadership scope and strategic influence Opportunity to shape performance, culture, and long-term operational direction Attractive executive remuneration package including performance-based incentives Strong long-term career growth potential in a high-impact role Equal Employment Opportunity and Non-Discrimination Policy Equal Employment Opportunity Statement Both Keller Executive Search and our clients are Equal Opportunity Employers.
