In the role of Senior Business Analyst, you will join NAB’s Consumer Finance team that’s working with Card Schemes, regulators and a wide network of internal teams (e.g. technology, delivery, product) to deliver changes that keep card payments working for customers and maintain compliance for NAB.
Each day, you’ll go above and beyond to:
o Work with external stakeholders to anticipate and analyse a wide range of Scheme and regulatory changes impacting card payment functionality
o Work with business users to elicit and define user requirements using the most appropriate method(s), and translate them into functional requirements, and contribute to the management of client expectations.
o Analysis and specification of requirements that are uniquely traceable, verifiable and prioritised in a manner that is acceptable to both business and technology stakeholders.
o Have effective use of data and process modelling tools (including, but not limited to, process mapping, business, object and dataflow modelling) to analyse and represent information in an effective form, in order to translate business requirements into meaningful statements of work.
o Assess existing processes to identify redesign or enhancement opportunities to deliver improved productivity or efficiency to the business.
o Produce conceptual designs and contribute to the development of business cases.
o Prepare reports including cost/benefit analyses and recommendations, to provide information on optimal technical and manual solutions for business cases.
o Provide complex support to ensure availability of systems for business activities.
o Provide input to establishing, managing and reporting project management activities to ensure management awareness of activities, issues and outcomes.

o In-depth understanding of Financial Products, processes and systems,, including experience working with Card Schemes and regulators on compliance projects.
o Extensive experience working in an agile environment and familiarity with HCD techniques.
o Creativity and simplifying complex processes and issues, problem solving and analysis
o Ability to communicate a product vision to key stakeholders and teams, developing it into a shaped backlog of key features, user stories and goals for individual sprints
o Comfortable playing a leadership role, including leading workshops, in a cross functional business and IT team through the discovery, development and operational usage stages of change.
o Ability to innovate, adapt and grasp new skills and content.
o Ability to work closely with key stakeholders and build collaborative partnerships.
o Proven analytical skills and evidence-based decision making.
