Scheduling Coordinator Role
News Corp Australia is seeking an organised and detail-oriented Scheduling Coordinator to produce Electronic Program Guides (EPGs) for Sky News Australia.
Key Responsibilities:
* Manage the creation and delivery of accurate and timely EPGs and transmission schedules for multiple Sky News platforms.
* Develop and maintain short and long-term programming guides, including forecasting schedules up to two months in advance.
* Create and distribute daily break structure files, incorporating program details, media IDs, segment information, and commercial placements.
* Oversee the scheduling and implementation of promotional content within daily broadcasts, supporting overall promotional strategies.
* Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure seamless program delivery and accurate reporting.
* Adapt to the dynamic nature of live news by implementing same-day schedule and promo amendments as required.
* Manage captioning schedules effectively, balancing cost-efficiency with viewer accessibility.
Requirements:
* Highly organized and detail-oriented.
* Strong understanding of broadcast operations and scheduling.
* Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
* Ability to work effectively under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced live news environment.
* Experience with EPG creation, scheduling software, and media asset management systems (highly desirable).
* Proactive approach to problem-solving.
