Overview

* Providing after‐sales support, repairs, preventative maintenance, reliability improvement programs, installations and deinstallations.
* Our current service methodology uses an adaptive and predictive model to identify failure before it occurs.

Core Responsibilities

* Prepare and maintain detailed service and failure records, ensuring all documentation complies with legal and ethical requirements.
* Instruct customers in maintenance and troubleshooting procedures.
* Perform user verification checks and test equipment as prescribed; maintain and adhere to test equipment calibration schedules.
* Apply strong methodical and logical thinking skills.
* Communicate effectively and demonstrate good interpersonal skills.
* Build strong working relationships with customers and provide excellent service, owning the account from a technical support perspective.
* Conduct root cause analysis and strive to achieve positive results for our customers and Abbott; escalating issues to the wider group for timely resolution.
* Work in a team-oriented environment with multi‐disciplined teams.
* Eager to develop skills and knowledge through training and education.
* Travel up to 50% within NSW and across broader interstate (and New Zealand) locations as required.
* Participate in a rotating roster to support customers after hours.

Minimum Education

* Relevant tertiary qualification in electronic/electrical engineering or a related field.

Minimum Experience / Training Required

* Electrical experience is necessary.
* Knowledge of LIS connectivity, laboratory automation, and Abbott products (e.g., Architect, Alinity, Haematology instrumentation) will be an advantage.
