We are seeking a seasoned professional with extensive enterprise-level expertise to drive architectural direction and ensure alignment with business strategies for an established defence player in the market. This is a leadership-driven role requiring strong stakeholder engagement skills rather than hands-on technical execution. About the Role As a Principal Solution Architect, you will provide high-level architectural guidance and expertise to influence business outcomes. You will be responsible for developing and maintaining architectural roadmaps, ensuring integration across infrastructure, networking, and solutions. Your role will be pivotal in setting direction for enterprise services while working closely with key business and technology stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Align IT project portfolios with business strategies, ensuring capability and technology improvements meet customer needs. Develop and maintain enterprise architectural roadmaps. Provide leadership across multiple IT domains, adapting to varied project needs. Coach and mentor staff to enhance team performance and architectural maturity. Maintain key architecture artefacts and ensure compliance with governance frameworks. Lead stakeholder engagement, providing clear architectural direction and presentations to senior executives. Support demand and capacity management, ensuring effective resource forecasting. Stay ahead of technology trends and drive innovation within enterprise services. Key Requirements Proven experience in enterprise and solution architecture within large, complex organisations. Strong understanding of architectural design methodologies and best practices. Experience in business, information, application, and technology architecture. Knowledge of cloud-native technologies (ideally Azure IaaS / PaaS). Ability to analyse complex domains and design effective solutions. Desirable experience in AI and high-performance computing. Strong stakeholder engagement and presentation skills for senior-level executives. Experience in demand and capacity management. Cloud certifications and network experience are advantageous.
