Sleeping Duck, founded in 2014 by engineers Winston Wijeyeratne and Selvam Sinnappan, is one of Australia's fastest-growing startups. What's the role all about?
We're seeking a highly organized, proactive Office Experience Manager to oversee daily operations and maintain a smooth, welcoming workplace. You will coordinate across teams, handle admin tasks, support logistics, and ensure everyone has what they need to succeed. Responsibilities include managing supplies, onboarding, overseeing maintenance, coordinating events, and ensuring office security. Flexibility to work outside regular hours may be required.
You should thrive in a fast-paced environment, take initiative, and enjoy problem-solving. Your role will be vital in keeping internal operations efficient and fostering a warm, energetic workplace. As a cultural ambassador, you'll organize events and initiatives that strengthen our team and culture. Main focus areas:
* Office Operations
* Be the first point of contact for visitors and inquiries
* Create a positive experience for employees, managing facilities and supplies
* Answer calls, handle mail, book meetings, and coordinate logistics
* Maintain shared spaces and oversee security and access
* Manage office supplies and procurement
* Support onboarding and office tours for new hires
* Arrange travel for team members as needed
Cultural Activities & Internal Events
* Organize and facilitate internal events, fostering collaboration and inclusion
* Encourage initiatives that promote team bonding and fun
* Coordinate celebrations like birthdays and anniversaries
Ideal Candidate Profile:
* Warm, positive energy with an interest in people
* Experience as an Office Manager, Front Office Manager, or Administrative Assistant
* Event coordination experience (preferred)
* Strong organizational and administrative skills
* Ownership mindset and multitasking ability
* Excellent communication skills
* Tech-savvy
* Adaptable and problem solver
