About our Psychology Service
The Psychology Service, part of Allied Health Services, delivers comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care to individuals facing physical health conditions alongside psychological and neuropsychological challenges. The service has four clinical workstreams: Acute; Rehabilitation and Complex Management; Women's, Newborn and Children's; and Older Persons. Operating across multiple hospital campuses, the psychology team works within and alongside multidisciplinary teams providing holistic psychological care tailored to diverse clinical needs.
About your new role
As a valued member of the Psychology Service, you will deliver high level evidence based neuropsychological and psychological services within a collaborative multidisciplinary framework including assessment, diagnosis, treatment and rehabilitation planning for patients with suspected brain injuries, neurological disorders and/or neuropsychological impairments. This includes:
Participating in quality activities and research related to Neuropsychology, including actively implementing evidence based practice for improved client outcomes
Provide clinical supervision to psychologists/neuropsychologists on placement from post-graduate clinical training programs and other psychologists as required
Contributing a high level of neuropsychological consultation and ethical decision making in the achievement of organisational goals
Qualifications
Tertiary degree in Psychology (or equivalent)
Possession of post-graduate qualification/s
Registration with AHPRA
Evidence of vaccination, or be able to be vaccinated against and remain vaccinated against - Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, Pertussis and Hepatitis B
Tuberculosis screening, to identify if the tuberculosis vaccination may be required
Declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed
Criminal History Screening will be required for new employees (GCH will cover cost)
