Role and responsibilities:
We seek a highly motivated Lead Confluent Kafka Engineer to join our growing integration team in Australia. The role is based in Melbourne, focusing on designing, developing, and implementing robust, scalable Event-Driven Architecture (EDA) solutions for our clients. Deep knowledge of the Confluent platform is essential to leverage your expertise for delivering solutions on both greenfield and brownfield projects.
* Design and deploy Confluent Kafka clusters on-premises, cloud, or hybrid environments.
* Develop Confluent Kafka platform architecture and perform capacity planning.
* Create high-performance, scalable solutions following security best practices.
* Design and implement Kafka Streams applications.
* Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into solutions.
* Lead and guide team members, working closely with other teams.
Qualifications and experience:
* Bachelor's degree in IT/Computer Science or related field.
* 10+ years of experience in solution development and implementation.
* At least 2 years of experience with Confluent Kafka, with relevant references.
* Experience integrating Kafka Confluent with data sources, databases, messaging queues, cloud data stores, APIs, and platforms.
* Proficiency with RESTful APIs, web services, and integration design patterns.
* Excellent communication skills.
