As the Information and Communication Electronic Technician, technical knowledge will be requested to support the OASIS departments when needed, you will be responsible under minimal supervision to perform periodic maintenance tasks, complete trouble failures and job orders for a range of systems managed by the Information Technology Team. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES Responsibilities/Duties Conduct preventative maintenance work on all electronic systems maintained by IT. Perform planning of equipment, tools and materials needed to complete tasks. Undertake initial fault-finding analysis and implement solutions. Maintain reliable operation of all aspects of the Security system Maintain, repair site electronics e.g. CATV, DVD’s and Projectors Install and repair fibre optic networks associated with IT system infrastructure. Maintain of electronic circuits and schematic diagrams. Perform tasks for project efforts as required. Ensure, promote, and maintain health and safety practices/compliances at site and within the workplace. Any other reasonable duties as requested QUALIFICATIONS Desirable Year 12 completion Formal qualifications in Electronics Equivalent demonstrated experience Field: Relevant or related discipline ACMA certification – Coaxial Qualification in Terrestrial Digital Transmission Certificate III, Certificate IV Trade Qualification Undergraduate Degree Post Graduate Qualification Equivalent demonstrated experience TICKETS AND LICENCES Minimum Essential Drivers Licence ACMA certificate with structured, fibre optic endorsements LV Rescue White Card Confined Space Working at Heights Elevated Work Platform First Aid Electrical Skills maintenance Other position specific essential licenses and ticket Forklift License HSR Training CPR EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS Minimum Essential 1-2 years’ experience Strong communication skills and the ability to engage with varied stakeholders Experience with MS Officer operating system WORK ENVIRONMENT, PHYSICAL DEMANDS, AND MENTAL DEMANDS Typical office environment with no unusual hazards, occasional lifting to 10kgs, kneeling, standing and walking, routinely sitting and constant use of speech/hearing abilities for communication, constant mental alertness, and must be able to work under deadlines. SECURITY CLEARANCE REQUIREMENT It is a condition of employment that employees obtain and retain the appropriate level of security clearance and medical clearance applicable to each role.
