Young People’s Mental Health Specialist
Headspace Bathurst is seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Young People’s Mental Health Specialist to join our multidisciplinary team.
This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of young people aged 12–25 who are experiencing mental health challenges. As a specialist, you will play a vital role in providing assessment, care coordination, and interventions that cater to the unique needs of each individual.
Key Responsibilities
1. Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify the mental health needs of young people and develop personalized treatment plans that address these needs.
2. Facilitate group sessions for young people and their families, promoting a safe and supportive environment for discussion and exploration.
3. Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless care coordination and delivery of high-quality services.
4. Build strong relationships with clients, carers, and other service providers to promote effective communication and cooperation.
Essential Qualifications and Skills
* Tertiary qualifications in Psychology, Social Work, or a related field.
* Registration with AHPRA, AASW, or a relevant professional body.
* Advanced clinical skills and experience working with diverse populations, including adolescents and young adults.
* Excellent communication, interpersonal, and time management skills.
* Ability to work independently and as part of a dynamic team.
