Where You'll Be Working
You'll be based at Wingham Rehabilitation Hospital, a friendly and close-knit rural health service surrounded by the natural beauty of the Manning Valley. At Wingham, you'll be part of a small, dedicated team of nurses, doctors, allied health professionals, HealthShare staff and security, all working together to deliver coordinated and compassionate care. It's a supportive environment where collaboration and connection are at the heart of everything you do.
About The Role
As an Occupational Therapist at Wingham Community Hospital, you'll play a key role in helping patients regain independence and quality of life through tailored rehabilitation programs. Working as part of a highly supportive multidisciplinary team, you'll collaborate closely with other health professionals to deliver holistic, goal-directed care. This position is job-shared with an experienced Occupational Therapist, providing built-in support and the opportunity to learn from a skilled colleague.
You'll receive a thorough two-day orientation, with the flexibility to extend this if needed, ensuring you feel confident and well-prepared in your role. Ongoing support is available through a network of Occupational Therapists at Manning Base Hospital, as well as regular peer supervision to help you stay connected, reflective, and professionally supported.
About You
We're looking for an enthusiastic and practical Occupational Therapist who thrives in a team environment and communicates with confidence and empathy. You'll enjoy the variety and challenge of a rehabilitation setting, providing both one-on-one therapy and group sessions that make a real difference in patients' recovery. Collaboration is at the heart of this role - you'll work closely with patients, their families, and the wider team to help each person achieve meaningful goals and regain independence.
