We are seeking a skilled Heavy Machinery Operator to join our road construction team. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a variety of infrastructure projects, including road and drainage construction.
As a Heavy Machinery Operator, you will be responsible for safely operating heavy machinery equipment such as loaders and rollers to construct and maintain roads, drainage systems, and shared paths.
Key Responsibilities
* Operate heavy machinery equipment such as loaders and rollers in a safe and efficient manner
* Conduct routine maintenance and inspections on equipment to ensure it is in good working condition
* Collaborate with other team members to achieve project goals and objectives
* Participate in ongoing training and professional development to improve skills and knowledge
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
* A current unrestricted HR-B (Heavy Rigid) class national driver's licence
* Loader Operator's Accreditation Certificate
* A current Construction White Card
* Roller Operator's Accreditation Certificate
* Excellent observation and concentration skills
* Ability to work independently and with limited supervision
* Good interpersonal and communication skills
* Ability to read and accurately interpret plans, operating procedures and safety instructions
